Background Brainshark provides businesses with a
browser-based self-service authoring application to instantly
create, deliver and manage online, voice-enhanced presentations.
Information on new products, training and other time-critical
content swiftly flows from subject-matter experts to viewers.
As a result, business professionals can develop presentations
anytime and viewers can access them within minutes, securely
and on-demand over the Web. But this wasn't always the case!
Challenge & Solution
There are always wonderful challenges when designing the first
market presence of a new start-up. This was no exception.
Added to the challenges of the Internet time-to-market imperative,
a tight first-round venture budget, and a very competitive
landscape were the design challenges of creating an integrated
experience across these first customer points of contact:
the web site, the application, and the first manifestations
of identity. We called this "Baby Branding"! The working relationship
with the client team in the complex upfront design phase contributed
greatly to the success of the project.
Mark Yacavone, Vice President of Product
Management, said up-front work provided a clear description
of the solution Event Zero would deliver, eliminating any
misunderstandings that could have delayed a successful launch.
"The technology and graphics proposals confirmed that Event
Zero understood our business and could implement our vision
and identity."
Joseph Gustafson, CEO, agreed by saying,
"Event Zero spent a lot of time up-front on the design phase,
which gave us the reassurance that our solution would be carefully
planned and gave us lots of comfort as to what the end product
would be."
